How to remove a property

Managing your properties efficiently in myInspections is key to staying organised, and sometimes that means removing a property you no longer need. Whether it's an archived property or one that's no longer active, we've got you covered with this step-by-step guide.

Removing a property in the app

Step 1: Archive the property

To tidy up your main property list, you can archive any property you no longer need to see. Archiving removes it from the main list while keeping all associated inspections securely stored for future reference.

  1. Open the app.
  2. Go to your list of properties under the title "My Properties".
  3. Select the property you want to remove.
  4. Press the three dots to open a menu of options.
  5. Select "Archive Property" from the menu.
  6. Confirm the archive action.

Step 2: Permanently delete the property

  1. Return to the app's front page.
  2. Press the three dots next to "My Properties".
  3. Select "View Archived".
  4. Find the property you just archived.
  5. Press the three dots again next to the property.
  6. Select "Permanently Delete" to remove it completely from your phone and account.

Removing a property on the web dashboard

If you are on a paid plan you can also remove a property by editing it online.

  1. Sign in to your myInspections account on the web dashboard.
  2. Go to the Properties tab on the left-hand menu to view your current list of properties.
  3. Scroll through your list or use the search bar to find the property you want to remove.
  4. Click the three-dot menu next to the property's name and select Delete.
  5. A confirmation pop-up appears so you don't accidentally delete a property. Click Confirm to permanently delete it from your account.

Keep in mind

  • Inspections in archived properties count towards your free plan limits.
  • Once a property is permanently deleted it cannot be recovered, so double-check before confirming.
